I will knit you a soft double-layer beanie-style hat. From folded-edge brim to cinched crown, it is 10” long. Stretchy circumference from 16” resting, up to 26” stretched, this fits most heads.
In this fine DK yarn, the hand is not at all stiff, but soft and supple with slightly relaxed stitch tension.
